Martian Successor Nadesico - Hoshino Ruri At Vocal

Review Ruri Hoshiro is one of the most popular female characters in anime so it's no real surprise that she gets her own CD. The tempo of many of the songs is on the slower side, but Ruri's voice actress, Yumi Matsuzawa, has an excellent singing voice. This CD contains the two vocal songs from the movie, The Prince of Darkness, including "Rose Bud" and "Dearest." It also contains a slower version of "You Get to Burning," the TV series' opening theme. Also worth noting is "Sweet Call" with its catchy lyrics and fun melody. The booklet has lyrics for all the songs accompanied by images of Ruri. The only song I didn't really care for was track 8, "Shiroi Tsuki," but overall this is good a CD with a number of likeable songs, although, I'd say a lot of the appeal depends on how big of a Ruri fan you are.
