Review Tomokazu is a typical high school teenager: he is average height, has terrible grades, and has never had a girlfriend. However, on Tomokazu's 16th birthday, he awakens to find himself lying next to a naked blue-haired girl. He had just had a dream that night where he saw her flying around and fighting a strange enemy. The only thing she says is "mone," so her name becomes Mone. Yumeria, at its core, is a harem series. As the show progresses, more beautiful girls show up and mysteriously end up in the dream world along with Tomokazu. The story isn't all that great, it's a little bland so far. Tomokazu has apparently wished the girls into the dream world with him, and there they fight against the Faydooms because it's their fate to do so. However, the comedy, characters, and yes, even the fanservice, totally make up for that. Yumeria is laugh-out-loud funny and dishes out many hilarious scenes - one right after another. Tomokazu is a self-admitted pervert and this fact alone drives a lot of the comedy. In Morea, the dream world, he gives power to the girls by touching them. When he learns this, he chases them, saying "Come to daddy!" as they run away screaming. But in reality, all of the girls are attracted to or fond of Tomokazu. His classmate Mizuki has a crush on him but he is oblivious to it. Tomokazu's teacher, Mr. Ishikari, also provides a lot of hilarious scenes. It's so funny how enthusiastic he is and how he always picks on Tomokazu, telling him he is stupid right to his face. The show has quite a bit of fanservice from several outfits and differing female body types. Nanase is the large-breasted mature woman while Mizuki and Kuyou are the ideal, perky high school girls. Mone is more on the petite side and Neneko is an out-and-out loli. I think all the girls are rather attractive looking thanks to the alluring character designs. The girls wear skin-tight battle suits in the dream world, gym shorts at school and swimsuits when they go to the pool. There is also some nudity during the transformation scenes, but it isn't detailed. Yumeria is based off a video game of the same name, but it's one of the better game-to-anime conversions I've seen. A great sense of humor and lots of cute girls makes this a DVD worth checking out. It has been a total blast so far and I can't wait to get more of it when volume two is released. Extras
