Wandaba Style vol. 2

Review
Mix Juice competes against another all girls band by riding Susumo's rollercoasaters and seeing who has the best scream. Much of the episode consists of the girls sitting on a rollercoaster screaming. One of his rollercoasters doesn't quite work right, like most of his rockets, and he has to end up having to save Mix Juice from disaster. It is a very tedious episode.

The girls have been sitting around a lot lately and have been putting on the pounds. In an attempt to lose weight they start running on a treadmill device but it ends up being a time machine invented by Susumo and sends them to the past. There they see Susumo as a child arguing with his mother about her recent space ship's design. They don't get along because his mother attempted to send his father to the moon in a dangerious rocket experiment.

Now that his mother has been introduced and we know that her goal is the same as her son's, she decides to make an appearance in the present. She challenges her son to see who can make a rocket to get to the moon first and forces Michael Hanagata to join her. He secretly goes up to each of the girls in Mix Juice and tells them to go solo because he thinks they would have more success. Surprisingly, even after so much devotion to Susumo, they all board his mothers rocket.

So much of the show is comedy driven yet most of it feels forced and just falls flat for me. Also, as much as I like silly and random anime, the way the story progresses is just ridiculous. However, I am interested in seeing how it all plays out on the next disc.
