Sister Princess vol. 4

Review
Summer is coming to an end and everyone is trying to finish up their summer homework as Wataru reflects on the time he has spent so far on Promised Island with his sisters. It's mostly a recap episode as Wataru runs into all his sisters around the house and makes comments about each one of them as it shows footage from previous episodes. This show really doesn't need a recap epsisode though, as nothing has really happened plot-wise up to this point.

Wataru realizes all the things that his sisters have done for him and he wants to start doing more for them in return. There is a lot of focus on Karen as the two of them go out to town for awhile. In the end, Wataru realizes that the thing they want most from him is to just be there for them and keep doing the ordinary things he has been doing all this time. On a side note, the character models looked a little off here compared to other episodes.

One of Wataru's youngest sisters, Aria, loses a ribbon that her brother gave her. An old man offers to help her find her ribbon and they go all around town looking for it while stopping to eat cake and look at clothes along the way. The episode didn't really go anywhere, nor did it explore Aria's character much and I found it to be one of the least enjoyable episodes so far.

The sports festival is coming up, but for some reason Wataru doesn't like it. However, when he sees how hard Kaho is trying to practice her cheerleading so that she can cheer for him, he immediately chooses a sport to partake in. Kaho is somewhat of a klutz so she usually drops the baton during her cheerleading practices, but she really wants to do her best cheering her brother on during the sports festival so that he can do his best, too. After all, the only reason she joined cheer was for her brother. The character episodes really depend on how much you like the sister involved, and since Kaho is one of my favorite sisters from the show, I enjoyed the episode.

Along with some new footage in the opening, there is also a mysterious girl who has appeared in the last several episodes who looks to play a larger role in future episodes. This volume wasn't quite as good as some of the previous ones, but I'm still enjoying it.
