Sister Princess vol. 2 | |
|
Review Sister Princess continues very much as expected with some more self contained episodes yet this volume was better than the first. Wataru begins receiving e-mails from an unknown sender and his sisters get jealous. Rin Rin offers to build e-mailing machines for the girls so they can e-mail him too. Things start to get out of hand when Wataru stars getting mail from all his sisters. This episode was very straight forward and gets redundant when it actually goes through all the e-mails that the girls wrote. Next his sisters register to perform a play so they can win a prize for him. Yamada gets some funny sceenes in this episode when he is selected as the director for the play. They end up not using the script and just winging it which results in a very odd play. It was nice to see the sisters get dressed up for a fun, light-hearted episode. Sakuya seemed to have a love for Wataru that was beyond that of a brother and some of the scenes here prove that point even more. Sakuya has Wataru go through a practice wedding with her and they get up to the point where the groom kisses the bride. Sakuya is more than ready to continue but Wataru is at a point where he has to make a decision. Should he kiss her? This is his sister after all, even if it is make believe. She asks him if he would ever allow her to be his real bride in the future since she sees that as the only way for them to stay together forever. The next sister to get the center of attention is Marie. She has had health problems since she was a child but decides to go out to the bookstore with her brother anyways. They have a good time out in the city but Marie gets sick due to them getting stuck in the rain on the way home. The other sisters do what they can but Wataru is the one who helps her recover. The show is really starting to grow on me. While I thought at first that having so many sisters would be overwhelming, I'm becoming more familiar with them and enjoying their varied personalities. I'm looking forward to the next disc and that is not because the next episode preview has one of the sisters in a bathing suit.
