Please Twins vol. 1 | |
|
Review Mike was orphaned as a child and is finally living on his own back in the house he grew up in. He is suprised when a red haired girl named Mina arrives at his door claiming to be his twin sister. She was also orphaned as a child and has brought with her a photograph of two children, one of which is Mike and the other is supposedly her. In the background of the photo, there is a picture of the house that Mike is currently living in. Mina makes a point that she and Mike have the same eye color. That night, another girl comes to his door believing she is his sister. Karen's reasoning is the same as Mina's; she has the same picture and has the same eye color as Mike. Having two girls claiming they are his sister presents a problem since there is only one girl in the photograph. So one of them is really his sister and one of them is a stranger. At first, Mina and Karen think it's alright to stay with Mike since they are related. But then they start to have their doubts. Since one of them is a stranger, maybe it's not okay for them to stay after all. They almost end up leaving the house when Mike is away, but he catches them just as they are leaving. Mike says he has something now that he's wanted for a long time, and he doesn't want to give it up. Please Twins has an enjoyable cast and some really good character developement in these episodes. Some of the side characters provide a bit of comic relief which is actually pretty funny and had me laughing. One aspect that is a big plus in my opinion is that Mina and Karen get along. They aren't constantly fighting eachother for Mike's attention and it gives a much more positive feel to the show. Characters from Please Teacher appear in the show, but they don't have very big roles. There is some fanservice thrown in - a few panty shots and some detailed nudity during some of the bath scenes. The animation looks really good and it has gorgeous artwork and character designs. The backgrounds are well done, too. This show is very entertaining - the heartwarming scenes, the characters, the comedy - I'm loving all of it. Highly Recommended. Extras
The first volume can also be purchased with a sturdy box. The box comes with 3 postcards, a little picture book to hold them and a soundtrack. Overall:
