Petite Princess Yucie vol. 3 | |

Review Words cannot describe how much I love this show. It's upbeat nature and lovable characters have me completely hooked. The girls are sent to heaven, Elmina's home, to retrieve another crystal flower. They go through different trials that test their mental and physical abilites. Elmina excels at the first few trials, but when she gets to the ballet portion she stumbles due to pressure from her father. I think this connected very well with a previous episode where Yucie was dancing in front of her father but fell down and Elmina wondered why Yucie's father wasn't disappointed with her. Yucie and the other girls work with Elmina on the dance performing it together and they successfully get the crystal flower. Beth, the fifth platinum princess candidate, is introduced while the girls make their way through a forest behind the castle so they can reach the place where the Scene of Light will take place. At first Beth appears to be helping them find their way through the forest, but then she captures Cocoloo. She asks them all to give up their pendants because with 5 platinum princess candidates, that means 4 of them won't be it. Yucie and others make it through the forest and get tested by the tiara. The tiara tests their hearts and then their pendants transform showing that they have passed. Now there is a platinum princess candidate from each world who are all 17 years old, but what is surprising is that none of their appearances have aged past ten years old. Petite Princess Yucie is so full of energy and puts me in such a good mood while I watch it. The show continues to be very attractive with lots of bright colors, cutesy character designs and beautiful animation. This show isn't going to be considered a classic, but it achieves everything it's trying to do and pulls everything off so perfectly that I can't help but enjoy every second of it. Extras
