Review For Kazuki Shikimori, life hasn't exactly gone too well for him. His grades are terrible and on top of that he can only use his magic eight times. Everyone who attends Aoi Academy has the ability to use magic, each with their own degrees of power and number of times that they can use it, which is in the thousands for most students. However, all of that changes when the girls at school find out he is from a long line of famous magicians. Now every girl in the school wants him, but the only thing they really want from him are his genes. There are currently three main girls who want Kazuki the most. There's Yuna, a girl from his childhood who promised to become his wife and is now living with him in his dormitory room. Kuriko, a rich blond, who is eager to get Kazuki's genes for herself. Then there is Rin, the short, katana-wielding girl whose parents are forcing her to get hooked up with Kazuki against her will. After the first two introductory episodes, Kazuki and Yuna find a little ghost-girl in his room. She says she used to live in a nearby mansion, but the evil real estate agents kicked her out of her home, and placed talismans around it so she couldn't enter. She asks them to help her retrieve a valuable item which she left inside. Then Kazuki begins having nightmares about behemoths attacking him. That morning they start hearing strange noises around school so they begin to search the different classrooms to see if there is really a behemoth or not. When it's found, it attacks Kuriko and Kazuki is forced to save her. The show isn't anything too special, or at least not yet, but these first few episodes are entertaining enough, although fairly predictable and usually end up with Kazuki helping out one of the girls with his magic abilities. There is a decent amount of fanservice, however it isn't extreme or excessive. On a side note, the eye-catches in this show are really...eye-catching (read: hot). Maburaho is a simple, straightforward romantic comedy and I'm having fun with it. Extras
