Cyberteam in Akihabara vol. 2

Review
Kamome, a new transfer student, shows up and she knows everything there is to know about the girls - their breast sizes and even that they formed a group called Cyberteam in Akihabara. She believes that her Pata-Pi can transform too and it does when she gets into a fight with one of the henchwomen. She becomes the fourth member of the Cyberteam.

Hibari gets a love letter in her locker but she finds out its from a girl. She doesn't want to be in that kind of relationship so she gets Tsugumi to dress up like a boy so she can act like her boyfriend and convince the other girl she isn't interested in her. Suzume builds a machine to modify Tsugumi's voice and, unknown to the other girls, makes the clothes with a certain fabric to control their movements if she needs to. Hibari and Suzume Tsugumi do a good job fooling her but Suzume intends to take it the whole way, however, when she forces them to start hugging and even tries to get them to kiss. Even though it was filler, this episode was a lot of fun and I laughed a lot.

The three henchwomen all take a day off work to hit the hot springs which provides them with some character developement. Some of the past is revealed about them showing how they got to where they are now. The Cyberteam is only in this episode for a few seconds at the end.

The last episode on this disc is a lot darker than what has come before it. There's hardly any comedy and the henchwomen are sacrificing everything to take down the cyberteam. The girls spend a lot of time running since they still aren't sure how to get their PataPi's to evolve.

I'm having a hard time getting into this show. On the plus side, these episodes manage to avoid the monster of the week routine found in other magical girl shows with only two of the five episodes requiring the Pata-Pi's to transform. And while I do like some of the characters, they can get annoying at times. The henchwomen are just too strange for my tastes and the story hasn't really progressed very much thus far.
