Chrono Crusade vol. 4

Review
Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria get on a train and head to San Fransisco to search for Joshua. Of course, Satella just happens to be on the train heading there, too. The train is hijacked by devil whom they have fought before but never managed to kill. This spider-like demon is controlling the passengers of the car with her web making it tough for Rosette to attack without hurting innocent passengers.

After finally arriving at San Fransisco, Chrono gets sick and collapses. Satella's owns a house nearby house so they go stay at her place while Chrono recovers. Rosette and Satella go all over town searching for medicine, with a lot of humurous moments. It also explores the romantic side between Rosette and Chrono a little bit.

That night a devil shows up at Satella's front door. He wants to form an alliance with Rosette and Chrono so they can stop Aion. We get to see some of Chrono's past as a devil when he had horns and learn more about Aion's plan. Rosette, along with the Magadalene Order, agrees to the alliance in an effort to defeat their main enemy, Aion.

While these episodes don't progress the story too much, it's good character building material and just darn fun to watch.

While the previous discs had two Azmaria's Extra Classes, this volume has only one with information on the antichrist from the bible and how he relates to Chrono Crusade. Aside from being cute, these lessons are extremely intesting to me and just reveals some of the depth in the story that isn't visible on the surface.
