Chrono Crusade vol. 3

Review
This disc starts off with another two episode story arc that shows what happened to Rosette and Joshua when they were younger. Joshua gets sick a lot but one day he and Rosette were just out having fun until the floor collapses beneath them and they fall down into an underground room. Rosette injures her leg and Joshua uses his healing powers to mend her wound. When they are down there, they meet Chrono for the first time. For awhile after that they hang out with Chrono regularly until Aion shows up and causes havoc.

It's made very clear why Rosette has such a hatred for Aion - he gave Joshua horns and he goes pretty insane after that. The scenes of Joshua growing horns and going crazy is quite intense and violent. This causes Rosette to make the contract with Chrono so she can have the power to save Joshua. He warns her of the consequences it will have on her life but she agrees anyways.

Holiday episodes in anime can be a lot of fun and the Christmas episode is just that. A lot of the focus is on Azmaria since this is her first time to really celebrate Christmas. We get to see some pieces from Azmaria's past which shows how she got into the hands of the devils in the first place. It was nice to see the characters buying presents for eachother and it has some good heartwarming scenes.

This disc reveals much of the backstory of the characters which I enjoyed since the cast is one of the best aspects of this show. Good Stuff.
