Chrono Crusade vol. 2 | |

Review After an amazingly good first volume, Chrono Crusade continues with some more good episodes. Rosette wants to apply for the militia which would allow her to go on independent investigations. Minister Remington gets her set up in the training room, but is unaware that Azmaria is also training in this room because she wants to be more like Rosette. Minister Remington releases a very powerful demon for Rosette, but it finds Azmaria first and possesses her. Rosette then performs an exorcism on Azmaria and dives into her soul to bring her back. Rosette is successful and she joins the militia. Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria form a team and begin going on missions together. Two new characters are introduced on this disc. The first is Satella, a woman from Germany who can summon spirits by using the powers in jewels. She hates devils and doesn't trust Chrono. Satella isn't really an official member of Rosette's team, but due to circumstances ends up helping her slay some demons. The seal in central park that is connected to Pandemonium is released and the dead begin to roam the city. Aion, the devil that took Joshua away from Rosette many years ago, makes his first appearance. The Magdalene Order believes his goal is to acquire the power of the apostles to gain the power of God to create his own apocalypse. He attempts to take Azmaria but she tricks him and the land is sealed once again. The second disc of Chrono Crusade continues to build on the larger story with the introduction of Aion and with Rosette's brother getting some more screen time. The story has a lot of potential and I'm eager to see more. Extras
