Review This is the only Burn Up show I've seen so I can't compare it to any of the others and is the original series that the other Burn Up's have derived from. I found this average at best with just a basic story plot and goal. Also there is a tad bit of romance/comedy added to the mix early on, but not much. To the unsuspecting eye, Maki, Reimi and Yuka might not look like ace crime fighters, which is why they're stuck on traffic patrol instead of more exciting police duties. When investigating a kidnapping string of young women, they notice all the girls had been seen at the same club. So Maki and the others decide to check it out, once inside they split up. Yuka heads downstairs and ends up in some strange kind of cave. There she's ambushed and kidnapped. After Yuka doesn't return Maki and Reimi realize they'll have to rescue her. They put on their battle armor and take on the human slave trader's personal army at his mansion. I found the dub slightly annoying. It seems almost each character has an odd accent which I really didn't like. And I'm not one to be annoyed by dubs but I think I would have enjoyed this more watching the japanese audio with engilsh subtitles. Features
