Summary
In ancient Dragonia existed five orbs that could be used to make dragons do one's bidding. However, as time passed, the stories of these orbs faded from collective memory becoming mere legend. However, Hadel from the Trachista has hatched an evil plan to take control of Dragonia using these very orbs. Yet the powers of the orbs could only be harnessed by certain, special individuals. Thus, only another person capable of controlling the orbs can stop the orbs' powers from being abused. Can Ryu, Jamka, Fiana and Tran hunt down and control the orbs in time? |
Review
Dragonia is a fantasy adventure with one big problem: the game is way too short. It took me about 90 minutes to complete. Also, it lacks replay value because it's very linear. Most of your choices will either continue the story or bring you straight to a bad ending, meaning there is almost no story branching.
The game moves at a quick pace because it doesn't go into a lot of detail about the envoronment or characters. The music fits the fantasy theme and the artwork is good with distinct costume designs.
The game features a cliché cast of characters. Ryu's companions are headstrong princess Fiana, priestess Tran, and a cunning guy named Jamka. There simply isn't enough time to give the characters proper development.
Dragonia isn't bad, I had a decent time while it lasted, but it's over so fast that it's ridiculous. Unless you can get a really good deal for it, you should pass this one up for better titles.
