Day of Love
|
Summary Maho has been long-anticipating her reunion with the Hero. However, when they actually reunite, she becomes irritated that the Hero (played by you) has completely forgotten about her. "How dare you forget about me!" Maho, with revenge in mind, poses as her younger brother as she gets closer to the Hero. |
Review I'll get right to the point; I was bored and uninterested during most of this game. Day of Love? More like Day of Boredom. The conversations feel drawn out and many times I felt like "get to the point already." It would seem like the plot setup has the potential for some good comedy, but that's not the case. Only a couple of situations are mildly amusing at best. Romance is almost non existent through much of the game, as it focuses a lot on the circumstances and Maho's revenge.
The character designs and backgrounds look nice, but they are very, very stagnant. There are also an incredibly limited number of drawings of each of the characters. Japanese voice overs are present for everyone except the main character. They were alright, no one really caught my attention though.
Before completing my reviews I like to finish games completely, but frankly, I'm just not interested enough to go back through again. There are about 5 or 6 different girls, and the different path choices are basically asking what girl you want to end up with. The path I took lasted about three and a half hours. I recommend spending your time and money elsewhere.

Content
Language An average amount of profanity, including a couple uses of some of the stronger four letter words.
Violence Nothing offensive.
Sex Some very minor homosexual themes. There is an ambiguous shower scene, as you can't really make any details out. Opening the extra "present CG" gives you access to a number of fanservice type images, showing some suggestive scenes with girls in their underwear or various stages of undress (nothing explicit).
Keep in mind, I only played through one of the paths, so there may be other offensive material. But I'm guessing it's all about the same level.

A few spelling and grammar mistakes are present in the game, but for the most part the English subtitles are pretty good.
