Amusement Park

Summary
After your father passes away from illness, you become the new owner of the "Fantasy Garden" amusement park. Fantasy Garden was temporary closed for restructuring, but now the park is reopening and it is up to you and some new employees to get Fantasy Garden back on track.
Review
After introducing some of the employees (the female cast) and a bit of history, the game has you checking out the park to make sure everything is running smoothly. Ryoya likes to say "Alright, I'm ready to make my rounds today," which is kind of funny, because once you choose a certain path your "rounds" mainly consist of seeing the girl you chose to see. The small amount of choices the game offers you are very simple and basically come down to "which girl do you want to end up with." They all pretty much follow the same formula; the main events in the story still remain the same. You just experience them with different girls. Every girl has their own unique story though, and there is enough variety between the scripted events to warrant going through the game with each of them. Each path will last you about two and a half hours. There are five girls so depending on how many paths you want to take this game offers anywhere from about 2.5 to 12.5 hours of gameplay.

Voice overs are present for everyone except the main character. When he is speaking (which is about half of the dialogue) the text moves along at a nice quick pace, which I really liked because other interactive DVD games can be rather slow moving. There is a limited number of background tracks, but the main one is upbeat and seems to work well enough. The character designs are pretty good and are nice to look at, but the visuals are very static. Sometimes the exact same image will stay there for the entire scene, and there are not all that many different drawings of the characters.

In the end Amusemet Park is a rather average experience, both in terms of the story and presentation, but there is some enjoyment to be had. Not a bad buy if you've already played all the better stuff out there.

Content

Language
A small amount of profanity.
Violence
Nothing offensive.
Sex
There are some sexual situations throughout; mostly in the form of fanservice. There are panty shots and some sexual comments. Nothing explicit though, and there is no nudity.
Distributor
Hirameki International Group Inc. (North America, NTSC, Region 1)
There are some spelling and grammer errors throughout, such as two words being stuck together or a period where a comma should be. It's a little annoying, but I had no trouble understanding it. Hirameki just needs to run spellcheck, other than that everything seems fine.
