Summary
Mahoro is the most powerful warrior of Vespar. She has fought many victorious battles against SAINT. She is given the option of staying a warrior and having only 37 days to live, or retiring and having 398 days to live. She decides to retire and become a maid. |
Review
I had a lot of fun watching this, it's quite a bit different from your average maid show. Unlike many other shows, the main male lead isn't a wimp, nor is he annoying. There are a lot of heart warming moments and really well done scenes between Mahoro and Suguru. I found Suguru to be a very likable character and the relationship between him and Mahoro is what made this show so good for me.
Almost every episode of Mahoromatic has nudity and takes fan-service to a whole new level. A lot of it is used in a humurous way. Mahoromatic is funny and cute at times and also very serious at others. However, I felt that the mix between comedy and drama was handled very well.
Mahoromatic has a beautiful opening theme and one of the most addicting ending songs ever. The background music does a nice job supporting the events that are happening on screen and some are quite nice to listen to. The animation looks pretty good. Some of the backgrounds are kind of bland, such as walls in houses, with just different shades of one color. Mahoromatic has some rather cute character designs.
Most of the episodes simply have fun with the characters, but it gets more dramatic when the story kicks in. Overall, Mahoromatic is a well done series that won me over with its comedy, fanservice and great cast of characters.
