Review
Based off a game of the same name, Arc the Lad is a typical "save the world" show. The first half of the series is mainly about White House creating Kimeras. It also sets up the plot and getting the characters where they need to be for the second half of the show. The early episodes don't really get anywhere and mostly gets us familiar with the characters. The second half of the show is about darkness possesing the world and crushing the power of the spirits. The second half still has the Kimeras, but the plot moves more towards the enemies unleashing darkness on the world.

The character development was pretty good, especially between Elk and Leiza, and I enjoyed the characters. However, I felt that they could have expanded on the enemies more because we don't really know too much behind their actions.

The opening it a lyricless one, but it fits well and sounds great. There are two ending themes. Background music fits well and some of it sounds like music that could have come from the game. The animation in some cases looks pretty nice, but in others looks average or choppy. Characters designs look good but are sometimes drawn poorly. Some of the fight scenes are underwhelming and felt like they deserved more attention.

Arc the Lad is decent, but there is definitely better stuff out there.
